Mission

The mission and aims of the W Horizon Foundation is to advance knowledge and research in the fields of science, economic mobility, education in the fields of health and performing arts, communication and the advancement of peace.

The Foundation awards grants to qualified organizations that further the mission of the Foundation, and by engaging in in-house activities to advance the Foundation’s aims.

The nature of the supported activities are determined by the Foundation’s Board of Directors pursuant to the terms and procedures listed in the Foundation’s grant guidelines.

The grants, if any, will be awarded in the fall each year.

By awarding grants to qualified organizations, and by engaging in in-house activities consistent with the mission of the Foundation and the terms of the Foundation’s Grant Guidelines, the Foundation is able to advance its charitable purpose of furthering knowledge and research in the fields of science, economic mobility, education, public health, communication and the advancement of peace.

The Foundation focuses exclusively (100% of its time) on furthering its mission by awarding grants to qualified organizations that meet the Foundation’s Grant Guidelines and mission as well as by engaging in in-house activities consistent with the Foundation’s aims. These include the development of curricula for health education and peace communication, research papers on economic mobility, as well as dissemination of the results of work product and research supported by the Foundation.

The activities of the Foundation are funded through private donations and funds from non for profit organizations.
